With the growing popularity of home schooling and home-school co-ops, there comes the need for group physical education. In our ongoing effort to meet all of your family’s athletic needs, Competitive Edge offers daytime home-school P.E. classes for students of all ages and levels of skill. Our facility is equipped to provide physical education that is equal to our local schools but personalized for our students.

It’s Not Just About Athleticism

Kids have lots of energy to burn, making your scheduled P.E classes an excellent outing between studies. We design our classes to meet a variety of needs, well beyond developing athletic skills, for example, general health, overall fitness and further developing elementary motor skills. That being said, our home-school P.E. program introduces students to a variety of sports and physical challenges they may choose to explore and develop outside of class.

An Excellent Social Opportunity

Home Schooling and FitnessWhile physical fitness is sure to be a priority, our group classes provide an excellent opportunity for social interaction. Our games and athletic training provide the peer-to-peer interaction required to further develop communication, cooperation and team-building skills. Your child will make new friends who live nearby, many of whom schedule playdates outside of Competitive Edge P.E.

A Safe Place to Play—The SPARK Curriculum

Our SPARK PE curriculum provides students with fun and challenging physical games and activities designed to instill safe and effective fitness habits. As one of the most researched and tested P.E. programs in the world, you can rest assured that your student will receive a well-rounded and diverse curriculum. From learning proper form to the importance of warming-up and stretching. Our coaches provide the confidence-building feedback that celebrates each student’s individual achievements.

Develop Life-Long Healthy Habits

Our goal is to instill life-long healthy habits, which includes an ongoing commitment to physical fitness. This is why we take things one step further by discussing the importance of physical activity for overall health and well-being. These conversations are a standard part of training for all of our youth and adult classes, clinics and training programs.

Introduce Students to Sports They May Choose to Pursue

Our P.E. classes introduce students to a wide range of sports, like basketball, football, soccer, baseball and swimming. Students who show interest in the sports they learn in P.E. may choose to pursue the sport further by joining a local team or league, or by signing up for additional Competitive Edge classes or one-on-one training. Aside from the sports they show an interest in, we can help you identify which sports they have a natural aptitude for.
